Hi! 👋
I'm Vic.
I’ve been working in design since 2007, but I don’t think anyone ever really finishes figuring it out.
That’s what She’s Workin’ On It is all about.
I’m sharing what I’ve learned, staying curious, asking better questions and helping other people navigate careers in UX and design with practical, honest guidance rooted in real experience.
I started out in Graphic Design before moving into UX and Product Design. Along the way I’ve worked with startups, agencies and in-house teams, helping shape products, solve problems and turn messy ideas into something real.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me exploring historic places, wandering around the countryside or planning the next project I’m determined to build.

I’m not a UX designer. Is mentoring still for me?
Absolutely. I started my own career in graphic design before moving into UX, so I know first-hand what it’s like to come from a different design discipline.
What’s the difference between mentoring and a portfolio review?
Mentoring is a live conversation where we work through things together. A portfolio review is something I complete independently, with personalised video feedback and a PDF you can revisit whenever you need.
I don’t have a portfolio yet. Can I still book mentoring?
Of course. We can talk about anything from career direction and UX thinking to projects, interviews or your next steps.
What if I’m not sure which option to choose?

Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Anything you share with me is treated confidentially and only used to deliver your mentoring session or portfolio review.

That’s completely normal. You don’t need to arrive with everything figured out. Bring whatever’s on your mind and we’ll work through it together.
